About Wedding Vendor Help

Wedding Vendor Help is a free tool that reads a wedding-vendor contract and explains it in plain language — on the side of the couple paying for the wedding, never the vendor selling the service. You upload a venue, catering, photography, DJ, florist, décor, attire, or planning contract, and you get back a clear breakdown of the clauses that affect your money, your date, and your rights.
Why we built it
Vendor contracts are written by the vendor's side. They are full of language that looks routine but quietly shifts cost and risk onto the couple — non-refundable retainers, vague "market price" food costs, overtime billed "at the company's discretion", liability caps that turn a ruined wedding into a small refund. Most couples sign their first-ever event contract under time pressure, often months before the wedding, and a lawyer for every quote isn't realistic.
We wanted to give couples the thing a lawyer gives you in five minutes: "here's the part that's not in your favour, and here's the question to ask before you sign." Free, in your own language, with no account to create.
The one principle we hold to
We work for the client, not the vendor. Every guide, every flagged clause, and every suggested message is written to protect the couple's money and rights. We don't take listings, commissions, or referral fees from vendors, so nothing we tell you is steered by who's paying us — because vendors aren't.
How the tool works
- Your file never leaves your browser. The PDF or Word document is read on your own device; only the extracted text is sent to us to analyze. The original file is never uploaded.
- An AI model reviews the text against the patterns that commonly cost couples money, and returns a clause-by-clause summary plus a ready-to-send message you can adapt.
- No account, no login. Every analysis is an anonymous session.
- It's free because of ads, which is why the tool stays open to anyone planning a wedding on any budget.
What we are — and what we are not
We are an informational aid built to make a one-sided document readable. We are not a law firm, and using the tool does not create a lawyer–client relationship. AI can miss things or be wrong. For any decision that really matters — signing, cancelling, or disputing a contract — confirm with a qualified lawyer in your jurisdiction. Our job is to make sure you walk into that conversation already knowing which clauses to point at.
Who's behind it
Wedding Vendor Help is an independent project built and maintained by a small team that has read more event contracts than anyone should have to. We keep the guides current as vendor contract practices change, and we welcome corrections — if you spot something wrong or out of date, tell us.
